Juvéderm Volbella

Smooth, soft, voluptuous lips are considered to be a symbol of attractiveness and provide a more youthful appearance. Unfortunately, your lips are often impacted by signs of aging. At Renaissance Plastic Surgery, we offer Juvéderm Volbella to restore volume, definition and vitality to your lips. This nonsurgical injectable treatment delivers beautiful, natural looking results that last up to a year.

You can find out if Volbella is right for you and receive individualized treatment recommendations by speaking with one of our medical spa aestheticians. Please call (636) 896-0600 today to schedule a consultation. We serve patients in the St. Louis, Missouri area.

Your Lips Are Impacted by the Aging Process

As you get older, your lips begin to lose volume and definition. This can cause them to look thinner and smaller. In addition, it’s common to develop fine lines and wrinkles in the lips as part of the aging process. These wrinkles, commonly referred to as perioral lines (“smoker’s lines” and “lipstick lines”), extend from the upper and lower lip.

Perioral lines can develop due to a variety of factors, including:

  • Loss of collagen due to aging
  • Pursing your lips when speaking
  • Smoking

Juvéderm Volbella can help reverse these signs of aging to restore a more attractive, feminine lip appearance.

What Is Juvéderm Volbella?

Volbella is part of the Juvéderm line of dermal fillers. This hyaluronic acid-based filler is specifically designed to restore volume and provide hydration to the lips. It makes use of Vycross technology, which provides a smooth gel consistency. This results in reduction of wrinkles and a fuller, more youthful appearance. In addition, the smaller hyaluronic acid particle size used with Volbella ensures your lips won’t appear overfilled or puffy.

Your Volbella treatment can:

  • Soften lip lines
  • Add volume to thin lips
  • Improve the definition of lip contours
  • Correct downward mouth corners
  • Reshape the Cupid’s bow for a more attractive appearance

In addition, Volbella provides longer lasting results than other lip fillers. In most instances, you can expect to enjoy your improved appearance for approximately one year.

Most individuals over the age of 21 who would like to restore a fuller, more youthful lip appearance are good candidates for Volbella. During your initial consultation, our medical spa aestheticians will determine whether this treatment is the right solution to address your unique needs and goals.

Your Volbella Treatment

Your procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and can be completed in 15-30 minutes. Volbella is a minimally invasive, nonsurgical treatment. There is virtually no downtime; you can return to work and resume most regular activities right away. However, you should avoid sun exposure, strenuous exercise and alcoholic beverages for about 24 hours to allow the injection sites to heal properly.

Results are typically visible immediately following treatment. You should start to see a fuller lip appearance, and fine lines around the lips will become smoother.
