What is HALO™ Hybrid Fractional Laser Treatment?

HALO™ by Sciton is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser. It delivers two distinct laser wavelengths simultaneously to treat both surface-level skin damage and the deeper layers beneath the skin.

  • The 1470 nm Non-Ablative Wavelength: Penetrates deep into the dermis to stimulate your body's natural collagen and elastin production.

How far in advance of an event should I schedule HALO™?

We recommend scheduling at least 3 to 4 weeks before a major event (such as a wedding or photo shoot) to ensure all residual pinkness has resolved and fresh collagen production is in full bloom.

Can I get HALO™ if I have active breakouts or cold sores?

HALO™ should not be performed directly over active acne breakouts. However, once active acne subsides, HALO™ is excellent for clearing leftover scarring and hyperpigmentation. If you have a history of cold sores, let us know so we can prescribe a preventive antiviral prior to your appointment.

Is HALO™ useful as a preventative "pre-juvenation" treatment?

Yes. HALO™ is increasingly popular for patients in their late 20s and 30s. Lower-energy settings proactively stimulate collagen, refine pore size, and clear early microscopic sun damage before deep wrinkles or stubborn pigmentation take hold.
