Kybella is a formulation of deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule produced by our bodies that is responsible for breaking down and absorbing fat. When injected, Kybella disrupts the cell membrane, causing the cell to lyse, or burst. Fat is liquefied, absorbed, and naturally flushed out of the body. As the cells are no longer present, they can no longer store or accumulate fat—giving you the shapely and defined profile that you have dreamed of.
What You Need to Know
Kybella is the first and only injectable substance to receive FDA approval to treat submental (below the chin) fat. For the best results, Kybella should be completed as a series of treatments. While the majority of patients—80 percent—notice visible results in as little as two to four treatments, a small amount of individuals require the full series of six.
Spaced anywhere from four to six weeks apart, each treatment is composed of around 20 to 30 injections. Few Side Effects & Little to No Downtime
